Who We Are & Where We're Going
Here's a quick look at who we are, what we do, how we do it, and what we strive to bring to Marion County, its residents, and its visitors.
The Marion County Heritage Center collects, studies, and exhibits local mementos of historical and cultural significance. Guided by a sense belonging and the spirit of exploration, we strive to inspire visitors and residents to understand and discover the ongoing stories of our small town.
The Marion County Heritage Center and Historical Society Museum will be the crown jewel of downtown Lebanon and the authority on Marion County history. The center, which will encompass all three floors of the former County Courthouse building, will be vibrant and vital, with permanent and rotating exhibits, a growing inventory of artistic and historic collections, and engaging programs that attract local, regional and tourist audiences.
