Being a significant part of daily life, food can be the most telling record of a place and era. What is eaten, and how it is prepared and served leaves a record of our culture and history. The recipes that were used reveal insights into the
lifestyles of their periods and the time in history in which they were created.
Throughout our two hundred year history, food has been prepared and served in many different venues, beginning at home, then on to church picnics and family reunions; to taverns, restaurants, clubs, and other social gatherings.
